Yo, I just started playing this game with your translation patch, and I sound like a total n00b here, but I can't figure out how to water the flowers.  Only the A button opens menus, but it also brings up the "this flower doesn't look good" text when I try to bring up the menu while facing the flower to water it... and of course the water can does nothing if I'm not facing the flower.  Help please?

...In rough, descending order of how likely you are to get a reply.

So to answer your question: you're not far enough through the game yet. The Watering Can you start the game with is for watering flowers in your room (you'll eventually be able to grow them; talk to Emma Furbanks, the squirrel at the Country Flower Shop next to the Market, for more details). After a few days, the fairies will give you the Vividust and entrust you with the mission of reviving the flowers around Sylvania. Once you have that, you will be prompted to give a wilted flower Vividust when you examine it. Reviving one gives you some Dream Points; reviving them all will earn you the full recipe for the legendary flower, Fairytale.

On a side note, Willow Cottontail will block you from reaching the one behind the school. You have to buy the Piano from the fairies first, put it in your room, then play it every day. Eventually Aster will become a piano virtuoso and you'll be able to perform at Skyblue Square; once you do so, Willow will vanish and you can reach the flower behind her.

Speaking of Willow, I haven't announced it here yet, but I'm currently working on Sylvanian Melodies, the rhythm-action spinoff. I've also switched gears on the issue of which main-line game I'll be doing next: now that I've obtained the third game, I may actually finish all the GBC games before I move on to the GBA ones.
